Estate Planning
The purpose of estate planning is to create a personal plan in a Will or a Trust to ensure that your assets will be used to provide financial stability for your family. Such a plan also considers tax planning with a view towards asset preservation to the greatest extent possible.
Guardianship
Guardianship proceedings are used to protect individuals who lack the functional capacity to manage their needs. Our priority is to consider the personal wishes, preferences and desires of the incapacitated person, and to provide that individual with the maximum amount of independence and self-determination.
Surrogates Court
Surrogates Court proceedings include the probating of a Will, representation of Administrators in cases where no Will exists, the financial management of an estate, Will contests, and accounting and kinship proceedings.

Following his clerkship, in the fall of 1987 Thomas Pietrantonio, Esq. became associated with the law firm of Cusack & Stiles, LLP located in Manhattan. He was with that general practice firm for 11 years, and practiced in a wide array of areas, including Surrogates Court practice, Wills and Trusts, Real Estate, and general civil litigation.
A member of both the Elder Law & Special Needs and the Trust and Estates Sections of the NYS Bar Association.
